Abstract

Objective To investigate the application effect of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) combined with self-made elastic wide pocket in patients after hip replacement.

Methods To select 105 cases of patients who underwent hip replacement in our hospital from January 2017 to July 2019.They were randomly divided into a control group of 56 cases and a test group of 49 cases. The control group received routine nursing, and the test group received ACT combined with self-made elastic wide pocket to compare the anxiety, depression score,post-traumatic growth score and the incidence of complications between the two groups before and after intervention.

Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference in anxiety and depression scores between the two groups( P > 0. 05). After intervention, the scores of anxiety and depression in the test group were lower than those in the control group( P < 0. 05),and the post-traumatic growth score in the test group was significantly better than that in the control group( P < 0. 05). The incidence of complications of lower extremity venous thrombosis, pressure injury and hip dislocation, etc. in the experimental group was lower than in those of the control group( P < 0. 05).

Conclusion The application of ACT combined with self-made elastic wide pockets in patients after hip replacement could alleviate negative psychological emotions, promote post-traumatic growth, and reduce the incidence of complications.
